A COMPARISON BETWEEN THE COVERS OF BIGGLES OF 266 AND THRILLER PICTURE LIBRARY 370

The artist who painted the cover of this Dean and Son reprint of Biggles of 266 is unknown – as is the exact date of publication. It is believed to be around 1961.	The artist who painted the cover of issue 370 of Thriller Picture Library was Pino Dell’ Orco. This was published in 1961.

So which came first? Was the Biggles book copied by Pino Dell’Orco or the Dogfight Dixon illustration copied by the artist who painted the cover of the reprint to Biggles of 266? Or did Pino Dell’Orco in fact paint both pictures? Here is a clue
